Lakapati
Rahiem, Jamaican born designer (Rahistudios) fresh on the European stage showcases an unique and exclusive collection with PlaisirsEthiques brand.
Introducing "Gods and Champions" inspired by the rich culture of ancient Mythologies. Drawing some inspiration from the sensual world each piece accentuates the body form and the meticulous craftsman's work leaves a delicate touch to the skin.
Some sources describe Lakapati as androgynous, intersex, and even a “transgender” god. In William Henry Scott’s “Baranggay,” Lakapati is described as a major fertility deity represented by a “intersex image with both male and female parts.”
Probably one of the most intriguing deities of Philippine mythology, Ikapati (or Lakapati) was the Tagalog goddess of fertility. F. Landa Jocano described her as the “goddess of the cultivated land” and the “benevolent giver of food and prosperity.”
We couldn't think of a better choice for our Lingerie collection, which we have designed is for all genders :-)
Thanks to Aswang Project for this gorgeous Photo.
